Gordon Research Conferences : Mechanisms of Membrane Transport

June 19-24, 2011 University of New England Biddeford, ME, USA

March 14, 2011

The Gordon Research Conference on Mechanisms of Membrane Transport has distinguished itself in the past 40 years as a forum that brings together a diverse group of investigators with a common interest in the structure, function and biology of membrane transporters and channels.

The increasing availability of transporter and channel structures is transforming the mechanistic analyses of these essential proteins. Structures combined with structure-guided functional and biophysical analysis offer an unprecedented opportunity to link form with function.

Sessions :

  • Lipids, Proteins, and their Interactions
  • Na+-coupled Transporters
  • A Debate on Transporter Stoichiometry
  • Small Solute Channels
  • CLC channels and Transporters
  • Ion Channels
  • Emerging Methods in Membrane Transport
  • Hot Topics in Membrane Transport
  • ABC Transporters
  • Transport Mechanisms and Human Disease

Applications for this meeting must be submitted by May 22, 2011.
