October 12-14, 2011 - Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris
April 15, 2011
The Institut de Biologie Intégrative (IFR 83) organizes its 11th international meeting on « Epigenetics : from Bases to Pathology » the 12-14 October, 2011 in Paris, at the Jussieu Campus of Pierre and Marie Curie University.
The aim of this meeting is to provide a multidisciplinary forum to scientists from the field of epigenetics. Epigenetics refers to the study of heritable changes in genome function that occur distinctly from DNA primary sequence changes. This implies that identical genomes can result in different cell responses during development or consequently to environemental modifications. Epigenetic variations contribute also to a large variety of diseases.
This meeting will bring together international leading scientists who will discuss various epigenetic phenomena, their mechanisms, and the link between their changes and physiological or pathological responses.
