A full time postdoctoral position is immediately available for a period of 2 years in the team "Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation and genome integrity" headed by Françoise Dantzer and Valérie Schreiber , funded by the Labex Medalis.
The main focus of our laboratory is to investigate the role of poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation, a post-translational modification of proteins catalyzed by PARPs in genome integrity, mitotic division and tumorigenesis, using cellular and animal models. Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation in response to DNA damages contributes to the fate of the injured cells: survival or death. The goal of the post-doctoral project will be to investigate the role of the poly(ADP-ribose) degrading enzyme PARG in the cell response to DNA damages, more particularly in the control of DNA replication, cell proliferation and in tumor development.
The candidate should have a PhD in molecular or cellular biology. Experience in molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy is highly desirable. Interest in the fields of DNA repair and cancer biology is required. Good knowledge of English is expected.
High motivation, rigor and team spirit are mandatory.
Interested applicants should send their CV, publication list and contact information for two or three referees to: Valérie Schreiber, PhD
