First French-Argentine Immunology Congress (FAIC)

2nd-5th November 2010, Buenos Aires - Argentina

July 15, 2010

The Argentine Society of Immunology (SAI) and the French Society of Immunology (SFI) are pleased to announce the first French-Argentine Immunology Congress (FAIC), combined with The LVIII SAI Annual Meeting, held from the 2nd-5th November 2010, at the Palais Rouge Convention Center in Buenos Aires.

Immunology is a broad discipline covering many fields, such as vaccination, allergy, transplantation, infection and cancer, involving translational approaches and biotechnology development. The goal of this first Congress is to bolster scientific exchange and initiate new solid and long lasting collaborations in immunology between the two countries, increasing international visibility of the French-Argentine
Immunology Network, at the academic level and among biotech companies. This will be accomplished via several oral and poster presentation sessions of French and Argentine researchers in different areas of expertise. The Congress will also host representatives from several innovative biotechnology companies, representing an excellent networking opportunity.

At this occasion, additional scientific events have been organized :

  • the Latin American Educational Pre-Congress Courses
  • the XIII Meeting of the Rioplatense Group of Flow Cytometry
  • the 3rd Argentine Meeting of Primary Immunodeficiencies.
